The Faces Behind The Flip Flops
I'm McKenzi and I am a cancer survivor. In October of 2010 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. I had four months of chemotherapy and now I am back to being healthy. But there was something that I just couldn't get over. I got to leave the hospital and children younger than me had to stay and miss out on their life outside of the hospital. Although I couldn't take away their pain, I could make it easier. I wore my pair of fancy flip flips to the hospital for one of my treatments and all the nurses loved them. From there Fancy Feet was born. With my name under the Fancy Feet as non-profit organization, it can only get bigger from here.
I'm Payton Mercado and I am a senior at Tri City Prep. For my senior project I decide to join the Fancy Feet team.
I'm Jordyn Sanders and I'm a senior at Chiawana High School. For my senior project I decided to join the Fancy Feet team, and help make the treatment that the little kids have to undergo just a little bit easier. I have been friends with Kenzi for years, we met through dance when we were little. Being a part of the Fancy Feet team has been such a great experience! We all have so much fun going up to Spokane to deliver care packages to the kids. Their reactions to what we bring them is adorable and by far my favorite part of the whole thing. Fancy Feet is such a great non-profit organization and I am so happy I get the chance to be a part of it.
